Vlenlafaxine (V EN) belongs to a group of Antidepressant with a novel chemicalV structure which has a structure that dose not resemble those of any currently usedant idepressants. A rapid, specific reversed-phase HPLC method has been developedfor assaying VEN in pharmaceutical dosage forms. The cxprimcnt involved an isdone by CI8column using a mobile phase composition of water (pH:3.6±0,05, 25 mMpotassium dihydrogen phosphate) and Acetonitril (60:40, v/v ), The flow rate was ImLimin and analyte monitored at 225 nm. The assay method was found to be linearfrom 5 to 16 ug / ml. All the validation parameters were within the acceptance range.The developed method was successfully applied to estimate the amount of VEN IIItablets
