A Comparative of Defense Policy vis-a-vis Defense Strategy and Defense Doctrine.

The concepts of defense and security have the same age as the concepts of government and state and they have always been in each otherʹs company. Therefore, some political scientists attribute raison dʹetre and philosophy of the government to the matter of defense. To accomplish this critical task, the governments have to make policies that are called defense policy. On the other hand, the strategy, tactic and attitude of the governments regarding defense issues and ways of organization as well as management of the armed forces during war and peace periods are some times illustrated under the scope of other titles like defense strategy and defense doctrine. In this paper, while the abovementioned concepts, their similarities and differences are explored; the most important remarks with respect to adopting defense policy will be addressed in the conclusion section.
