The Comparison of Child Raising Styles Between The Parents Who Own Conduct Disorder Children and the Parents Who Own Normal Children

The aim of this study was to investigate the style of child raising in the parents who own conduct disorder children and the parents who own normal children. Therefore a sample of 282 subjects were chosen by the use of chance sampling and chunk sampling methods. All of the subjects (137 conduct disorder, and 125 normal) were evaluated by the use of Children Conduct Disorder Questionnaire (CSI- 4) and their parents were also evaluated by the use of Robinson Raising Style Questionnaire. The ressults of the statistical analysis showed that the parents who own conduct disorder children use authoritarian style more than the parents with normal children (p <0.001). The parents who own conduct disorder children use authoritative style less than the parents with normal children (p<0.00l). There was no significant difference in the use of permissive style between the parents with conduct disorder children and the parents with normal children (p>0.05).
