The Relationship between Parentsʹ Quality of Life and School Functioning in Public Primary School Students in Isfahan (2006 - 2007)

This research deals with the relation between the status of parentʹs lives and primary schools in Esfahan . The methodology used in this study was correlation . To do this research, frist the community of students related to the state schools were specified . Then, about 494 students and their parents were chosen by the random cluster sampling method .After that the parentʹs lives status questionnaire and school functioning questionnaire were responsed by their teachers and their parents . Statistical analysis used in this research were linear regression and stepwise regression . The results of this research indicated that there was a relation between parentʹs quality of life and school functioning . This analytic regression showed that parentʹs education, unfavorable events and the number of people in a family are the most important variables in school functioning . Also, The relation between each school functioning variable and parentʹs quality of life variables were analyzed which had different results .
