An investigation of factors affecting the appearance and development of Arak city

The city of arak with a history of 200 years was made and developed under the effect of political, economic and social issues and programs. Until 1340s, the economy of this city has been based on carpet production and agriculture, and until then there has not been much development in its economy. Because of national social and economic programs and policies after 1340s, and the establishment of industries, political centers and universities, the opportunities for the development of this city were provided. In addition, its geographical position and its nearness to Tehran caused it to be considered as an industrial pole and become a populated city.
