Application of terrestrial radar in assessment rainfall values (case study: North-West of Iran)

Knowledge of daily rainfall scale is important cause of wide use in industry, agriculture and water sources management. In current research by using of 3 hourse rainfalls of area, it have been measured the variance of rain gauge stations and radar data in 150 and 200 KM distance of Central Radar system, finally denoted that relation between radar and ground rainfalls in 150 KM and 200 KM equal 0.95 and 0.8 sequence. Results accent this generality that decrease radar data accuracy with increase distance of Central Radar system. There are meaningful relation between radar data and ground rainfalls data, but in 200 KM distance in spite of comparative conformity with rainfall value but they are not suitable for replacement by rain gauge station data.
