Richard Rorty and Contemporary Political Philosophy: The Last Conceptual Revolution.

This article has been written in commemoration with Richard Rortyʹs death. The author introduces Rorty (1931-2007) as an American philosopher, social theoretician and literary critic. Rorty was one of the influential figures in the contemporary political philosophy. His interests and concerns in philosophical, social and literary subjects were very wide and various, including pragmatism, new-liberalism, post-analytical philosophy and late American Hermenutics. One should not forget that, Rorty, from theoretical point of view, was influenced and inspired by the most important modern western philosophers, like Descartes, Locke, Hume and Kant, theirʹs view were finally critized and challenged by him. The article also mentions that Rortyʹs main challenge and engagement should be regarded as to conciliate between British analytical philosophy and continetal philosophy from view point of post-modernism and meta philosophy.
