Differentiation of Social Structure and Political Development: Iran between Constitutional and Islamic Revolution.

The article analyses relation between Iranʹs social structure and its political development. Iranʹs social structures, due to lack of differentiation and relative independence, have caused the failure of movements of agents a carriers of political development, and have made their actions conflicting and reversible. So, on the one hand, the social and cultural, and especially, economic structures have been depended on political structure and have not been relatively independent, on the other hand, political structure have always had relatively absolute dominance on social structures. Iranʹs political system always limitted the public sphere and the possibility of civil and democratic activities in different areas, through its maximum intervention in economic, political and cultural affairs. In general, structural obstacles in the social and economic spheres have always been the cause of delayed gradual, peaceful and positive political development in Iran. The article explains the aboved dilemma.
