چكيده لاتين :
This research studies the barriers of teachersʹ participation in "teacher as researcher" program. This program and action research, which is a new phenomenon in the educational research of Iran, is a method to improve the quality of educational acts and teachersʹ productivity, and to combine the acts of teaching and thinking. The samples were 361 teachers who were selected through cluster random sampling method. A questionnaire was used to collect data. The results indicated that teachersʹ unawareness of this program is one of the barriers for their participation in "teacher as researcher" program. Other barriers, as research results show, are lack of facilities and resources, managersʹ negative attitude, size of the classrooms, loss of emphasis on action research, and the priority of decision-making without research.
