Customs performance and its role in inside and outside trade flow are of great importance. Trade facilitation, clearness, commercial and trade rules implementation, smuggling and drugs contest, duty and tax reception and automatic mechanisms operation in the trade operation flow, are all included in customs tasks and work manual Therefore, customs should be directed to enforce government income supply, trade facilitation and commercial transactions with other countries which in turn include granting facilities to importers enabling them to easily communicate with new trade environment. Regarding the above mention and also eliminating problems and bottlenecks of traditional and manual methods, need for omitting paper transactions, simplifying procedures and customs processes, expediting operation, offering on time statistics for managersʹ decision making, using developing potential capacities and at the end traders satisfaction, have caused using new technologies to be inevitable. Iran customs, by getting advices from Global Customs Organization and United Nation Development Conference, and parallel to global changes in economy and trade, has implemented important actions for facilitating and developing trade in the country. For this purpose, it set the policy of using modern computer systems (Asicoda), monitoring tools, virtual control and risk management in goods inspection. In this research, concerning the importance of customs ole in foreign trade, regarding the high volume of exports and imports, two current customs operations of the country, which one of them is manual or traditional and the second is computer information customs system (Negar) or Asicoda system, are compared together. The comparison shows that Asicoda system totally causes better development of work trend from different perspectives. And the average points to both methods shows that using the second method causes the work trend to be developed and it is expected that this system work more efficient than manual system.
