Campylobacter species are common human foodborne pathogens. The aim of This study is to determine prevalence of Campylobacter spp., the serotypes and antibiotic resistance in patients with diarrhea in Zanjan. The 306 stool samples were collected from 306 patients with diarrhea. Campylobacter was isolated by enrichment method, selective media and filtration procedure. Serotypes were determined with set of reference antisera by direct agglutination and antibiogram was performed by disc diffusion method. The prevalence of the Campylobacter was 62.24% for C.jejuni , 28.57% for C.coli, 2.04% for C.concisus , 2.04% for C.lari, 1.02% for C.upsaliensis, 3.06% for C.jejuni+C.coli and 1.02% for C.coli+C.concisus. 02, 03, 06, 021 and Ol were the most common penneric seroptypes for C.jejuni and 05, 048, 049 and 025 for C.coli. 14,06% strains of C.jejuni and 37.5% strains of C.coli had single or duplicate antibiotic resistance.
