Great Khorasan, Objective Reality or an Abstract Concept

خراسان بزرگ در طول تاريخ همواره دربرگيرنده ي قلمرو وسيعي از خاك ايران زمين محسوب مي گرديد. اين منطقه در دوره هاي مختلف، داراي هستي و موجوديت تاريخي و سياسي ويژه اي بوده و بنا بر پنداري كه در اسناد علمي جهاني گسترش بسيار دارد، به لحاظ تاريخي كانون آغازين دولت هاي باستاني ايران قلمداد گرديده است. خراسان را از آن رو به اين نام خوانده اند كه در زبان پارسي قديم به معناي خاور زمين و مكاني كه خورشيد از آن جا طلوع مي كند، آمده است. گستره ي جغرافيايي واقعي خراسان نيز در گذشته هاي دور داراي مرز ثابتي نبوده و تحت تاثير عوامل مختلف دستخوش تغيير و دگرگوني شده،اما به طور معمول، اين منطقه به غير از ايران، خاك بخشي از كشورهاي امروزي افغانستان، تاجيكستان، ازبكستان و تركمنستان را در بر مي گرفته است. نظر به اهميت و جايگاه تعيين كننده ي اين قلمرو در تحولات ايران و منطقه، همواره در مورد وجه تسميه، حوزه ي جغرافيايي و تاريخ اين پهنه در محافل علمي، نقد و تحليل هاي متعددي صورت پذيرفته است. ازاين رو،اين پژوهش نيز اساس تمركز خود را به سه مولفه ي يادشده بنا نهاده و با نگاهي توصيفي – تحليلي به واكاوي اين موضوع پرداخته است.

Therefore, this study also based its focus to these three components built with the look and analytical - descriptive issue focuses on the analysis.
