CONCEPTUAL VIEW ON CITATION INDEXING METHOD

Since, in each day relating to the several fields of science, large amounts and vast quantities of scientific findings are published in reliable scientific journals, it would be logical to say that the abundant amount of information is to be categorized in such a way that they would allow fellow researchers easily access the findings in a minimum amount of time. Untir recently with respect to this subject, different indexing methods such as subject indexing, title indexing and citation indexing have been invented and surveyed for research efficiency Recent studies have shown that among the existed indexing methods only citation indexing has a unique potent capability to help researchers in different fields of science. So, for this very reason it has been selected as a reference indexing method for categorization of different data banks constructed by the Institute Information (ISI). This indexing method is based on the selection of the best describing keywords from references given.
