international Foundation for Science (IFS)

The International Foundation for Science (IFS) supports scientific capacity building in developing countries. Established as a NGO in 1972, IFS is today funded by more than 15 donor organizations and has provided over 5500 research grants and supporting services to young researchers in more than 100 countries in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Latin America and the Caribbean. IFS research grants are awarded through a careful selection process which relies on a board of world-renowned scientist who evaluate the scientific value of all proposals.
