Student Discipline Committee’s Performance Model: A Grounded Theory Approach

شوراهاي انضباطي دانشجويان در دانشگاه‌هاي دولتي و انطباق آن با الگوي مطلوب انضباط تعالي‌بخش است. راهبرد پژوهش، نظريه‌پردازي داده‌بنياد است. بدين منظور با استفاده از روش مصاحبه‌ عميق با دبيران كميته‌هاي انضباطي 9 دانشگاه بزرگ تهران،‌ به‌تدريج الگوي عملكرد شوراهاي انضباطي دانشجويي تدوين شد. در نهايت، ميزان تناسب الگوي مذكور با الگوي انضباط تعالي‌بخش به‌عنوان الگوي اسلامي انضباط مورد بررسي قرار گرفت. نتايج بررسي‌ نشان مي‌دهد كه الگوي موجود عملكرد شوراهاي انضباطي دانشجويي تا حد زيادي تحت تاثير الگوهاي رفتاري، شناختي و تدريجي انضباط است. حركت به‌سمت انضباط پرورش‌دهنده و تعالي‌بخش، توجه به تشويق، معرفي الگوها و اسوه‌ها در كنار برخورد با تخلفات، آموزش مهارت‌هايي به دانشجويان به‌منظور پيشگيري از وقوع تخلف، توصيه دانشجويان به تقوا و خودانضباطي در كنار تاكيد بر قانون و آيين‌نامه از جمله اقداماتي است كه موجب نزديك‌تر شدن وضعيت موجود به الگوي اسلامي انضباط خواهد شد.

Discipline in organization is an important subject, especially in human resource management. This subject also has twofold importance in educational institutions. The present research is an attempt to study the performance of university student discipline committees and their compatibility with transcendental discipline. The present study was conducted on the basis of Grounded Theory through nine deep interviews with the secretaries of committees of Tehran major universities. After preparing the model of conduct of discipline committees, its compatibility with Transcendental Discipline model as an Islamic model was assessed. The results show that the existing model of committees’ performance is to a great extent influenced by behavioural, cognitive and progressive models of discipline. Beside the existing rules and regulations, some of the following measures would help get closer to Islamic discipline model: changing in approaches to discipline concept from control to direction, attention to reward, introduction of role models and epitomes on the side of dealing with violations, training the students with skills to prevent violation, recommending the students to observe virtue and self-discipline.
