A Conceptual and Theoretical Study of Social Engineering

رهيافت‌هاي نظري و راهبردهاي عملي واژگان مهندسي فرهنگي و مهندسي اجتماعي در حوزه تمدن غرب شكل گرفته و در قالب انديشه‌هاي اجتماعي انديشمندان غربي بيان شده است. بنابراين، از مفاهيم نوپديد در جامعه علمي ايران به‌شمار مي‌روند. اين مقاله مي‌كوشد در چارچوب مطالعات تطبيقي، جايگاه مفهومي و رويكردهاي نظري آنها را در ايران و جهان مورد مطالعه قرار دهد. بدين سان مي‌توان نمونه‌اي از رويكردهاي نظري موافق، مخالف و بي‌طرف موجود درباره مهندسي فرهنگي و مهندسي اجتماعي را در جهان و به‌تبع آن در ايران دسته‌بندي كرد و بنيان‌هاي فكري و شيوه‌هاي استدلال، رويكرد ايديولوژيك و پايگاه نظريه‌پردازي هريك از آنها را شناسايي و معرفي نمود و سپس درباره چيستي، چرايي و چگونگي و به‌طور كلي امكان‌پذيري يا عدم امكان‌پذيري مهندسي فرهنگي و مهندسي اجتماعي به داوري نشست. ارايه برخي پيشنهادها نيز پايان‌بخش مقاله است.

Theoretical approaches to and practical strategies for concepts such as cultural engineering or social engineering have developed in the Western civilization and have been explained within the framework of social thoughts of Western thinkers. Therefore, they are among new concepts in Iranian academic society. The present paper is a comparative study to determine the conceptual status and theoretical approaches to them in Iran and the world. Hence, the theoretical approaches to cultural engineering and social engineering can be classified into positive, negative and neutral in the world and consequently in Iran. This will facilitate the identification of their intellectual foundations, methods of argument, ideological approach and their theorization base. In the next step, it will become possible to discuss the whatness, whyness and possibility or impossibility of social engineering and cultural engineering. Some suggestions have been given at the end of the article.
