The Study of the Effect Quality of Governance on the Economic Growth in Iran and Select Neighbor Countries (Turkish and Pakistan)

Abstract This paper considers the quality effect of governance on economic growth using panel data in Iran and Select Countries (Turkish and Pakistan) in 1996-2007.We introduced quality of governance index, and then its process has been considered in Iran. The result shows that quality of governance in Iran doesnʹt have an ideal conduction. And also the result of model estimation shows that: Quality of governance index in these countries has positive and significant effect on economic growth. But the amount of effectiveness of this index in Turkish is more than Iran and Pakistan .Since a unit change of quality of governance changes the rate of economic growth in Turkish, Iran and Pakistan rates are %16, %11 and %0/06 perceptively.
