A Prelude on the Smart Cards

The emergence and development of communication and information technology in the recent decades has had a magnificent effect on the human life. From among the most important ones of these effects, is to provide new solutions and approaches to do different affairs of the life which among these achievements resulting from such technologies, the smart cards have a specific stand. From a perspective, smart cards are defined as cards which are able to carry automatically other information other than ones included and would be receivable by other electronic devices and are divided to the variety of cards with processors and cards with processors and binary connectors in a way that every card that nowadays is common as smart cards would be included in this spectrum. The famous types of such cards include magnetic, memory and optic credit cards in two forms of touchable and untouchable. The usage of smart cards in different arena of human life such as identity, control, security, insurance, tourism, communication and... shows the importance of these cards and with respect of the specific and limited processes in the development and production of these cards, specific industries are dependent to this area. The present article tries to introduce a relatively wide spectrum of smart cards or those cards which are famous as smart cards and moreover the way of personalizing production accompanied by a glance at the degree of security and protection in them world be summarily explained. To be fluent and prevention of ponderousness are the goals of me, the writer, so I have tried to avoid using some of the technical terms which their mention would have no effect on the richness of the notions.
