Although technology amazingly is improving, the place of human resources at the executive branch of defense departments is still remarkable. The only difference is that sophistications out of the speed of developments, necessitates paying due attention to management of human resources. In the mean time, comparative studies, as an alternative to experimental researches in which modification of variables is not possible, have acquired a notable place. With the view to employ similar experiences of other countries, which have much similarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, this paper is prepared. Therefore, having in mind the similarities and differences regarding defense departments, management of human resources, recruitment process, training and well-being services as well as military service and reserve forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and countries like Germany, the USA, Indonesia, The UK, Italy, Pakistan, Turkey, Check Republic, China, Russia, Japan, France and North Korea, the current paper studies those factors comparatively and then suggests appropriate ways to employ other experiences by decision makers in management of human resources.
