Informational Technologies as a Basis for the Development of Defense and Security Technologies

In todayʹs world, information becomes old and useless as much as it multiplies in amount. Scientific findings are increasingly improved, tested, and revisioned. Here, if military forces only make use of one way of thinking, they will not be able neither to respond, nor to survive accordingly. So, circumstances require them to adapt themselves with the conditions in which their adversaries think, upgrade their strategic thoughts, make a more convenient use of the technologies of the day, and also use the technologies of the near future. During the past decades, the information technology has made the human life undergo great changes, and continues to do so with an increasing speed. Decision makers are invariably seeking to probe into the future of the information technology in order to provide for macro policy makings, and meet the necessary requirements for facing with future. In fact, this article is meant to meet this requirement, trying to introduce information technology by examining the paradigm of growth, and studying the future trend of information technology in both military and non-military information technology. On the basis of the comparative study which was carried out, the way the information technology has affected, and affects various functions, as well as the pattern for developing the infrastructures, have been determined, and this way the macro trend of information technology development in defense and security domains have been explored and extracted.
