Military History and the Art of War military are basic courses of prestigious universities of the world and military thought are the basis of military behaviors and functions which visualizes in military identity ,ideology and military philosophy, military theory, military doctrine, military power and authority. Considering that the major military affairs, defense and defensive strategy on Iran over the history has been the result of thoughts, insights and efforts of scholars, rulers, politicians and military commanders for centuries and the question " how can a country be protected against threats?ʹʹ has been the main question here. Therefore, studying the military thought during Iran varying history is of a great significance and necessity. Therefore this paper aimed to explain different ideas and theories during the history of Iranʹs military and also expanding and spreading military education, military ideas and theories of different periods and finally, thinking, pondering and applying it. So this type of rcscarch is practical from targeting point of view and from way of collecting data is descriptive, and library sources are used for gathering information.Studying remained texts of a proud history of Iran, it is realized that the most important Iranians defensive excellencc is having different ideas and techniques of war and use of this military thoughts in battles and prowess of various tribes of Iranian peoples against their enemies which historically have been aimed to estahlish values. So getting more familiar with various military ideas and theories and the system dominated on war and defense field has been important during the Iranʹs history has played an important role in role in increasing the experience, knowledge, consciousness, awakening and insight of every armed force personnel against ihe hegemonic powers and aggressors.
