Study of the Effects of Islamic Azad University Establishment on Socio- cultural Situation of Khonj City

In our country almost all researches about organizations confine to internal study of organization, and have not dealt with organizationsʹ role in forming peripheral environment. On of the most important Islamic Azad University outcomes as a social organization, is the change and modification in cultural and social texture of cities that university is located there. This article studies the Khonj branch of Islamic Azad University socio-cultural effects on the city, as a modern organization, from Khonj people point of view. This research has been done using measurement method and through questionnaire tool. In this research 45 percent of Khonj population has been estimated older than eighteen years old. Its population is nearly 20000 people. By subtracting under 18-year-old individuals, we have a figure of 9000 people. After sample determination, questionnaires were distributed among the sample randomly. For amendatory, face validity and for implement permanency Alpha Cronbach was used. And due to the fact that measurement level of most variables was ordinal, x2 coefficient statistical method was used. Research outcomes show that Islamic Azad University has been able to increase women participation in society, social relations improvement among people and tendency increment to continue education among students. In general, since Azad University establishment in Khonj city, there has been an increase in hope and enthusiasm for improvement of life situation among people and it seems that this factor reduces citizensʹ immigration to other cities for seeking a better life.
