he aim of the present study was to detect the polymorphism in microsatellite BMS719, BMS778 and oarCP26 markers linked to P-A and P-B subunits of inhibin/activin genes in Sanjabi sheep. 100 Blood samples were randomly collected from Sanjabi sheeps from Mehregan breeding station of Kermanshah and DNA was extracted using modified salting out method. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was carried out using specific primer pairs for amplification of microsatellite marker sites. The PCR products were electrophoresed on 8% poly acryl-amid gel. Detection of genotypes has been done using silver staining method and genetic analyses were calculated by POPGEN 1.32 and Cervus 2.0 softwares. For each of BMS778, oarCP26 and BMS719 markers observed number of alleles (Na) were 7, 4 and 3 respectively, polymorphic information content (PIC) indices were 0.799, 0.691 and 0.6088 respectively, and effective number of alleles (Ne) were 4.97, 3.24 and 2.55, respectively. The obtained results showed that the studied marker site may be used as a QTL marker affecting fertility in sheep breeding programs because of polymorphic nature and its linkage with glycoprotein hormones of inhibin or activin.
