Bibliographic Families in OPACs: Users* views towards the Epic of Kings from a FRBRized perspective

This study aimed at implementing FRBR in library catalogs through a user-oriented approach. The literary work "Epic of Kings" (Shanama) by Ferdowsi was selected as the test-bed and catalog usersʹ views towards this bibliographic family were analyzed. A set of 40 bibliographic cards was given to 30 highly specialized potential OP AC users who were knowledgeable in the field of Epic of Kings. During each session the required data was gathered through card sorting, semi-structured interviews and answering a questionnaire. Eleven clusters were identified for the Epic of Kings bibliographic family through a top-down approach. On the other hand, the results show that, regarding a certain information need, usersʹ approach towards different entities is a bottom-up one. In other words, if a user wants a particular copy of a work and if that copy was unavailable, he/she tends to go for a second copy of the same work. The Effect of colours on the interior architecture of university libraries Dr. Mozaffar Cheshmeh Sohrabi Arezoo Rahim Salmani Asiyeh Rahim Salmani Interior architecture is a combination of knowledge, technique and art which, with its relevant ingredients such as form, colour, texture etc., is attempting to improve the spaces and provide proper efficiency and function and at the same time beauty. Interior architectureʹs aim is improving the physical and mental function of spaces to make it comfortable to live in. This article tempt studied the colours used in interior space of 20 university libraries and the effect of these colours on the users based on psychology of colours by the use of analytical research method. The information is gathered using a teacher-completed checklist and on the basis of direct observation. Consequences show that if we consider the colours of equipments and colours of space two different issues, in the latter white is used more than any other colour in the libraries. After white, cream is the most frequent. These two are among neutral colours. According to psychologists, neutral colours are the best choice for interior space of libraries which need more concentration
