A comparative frequency of maiassezia pachydermatis isolated from external ear canals in dogs in the cities Garmsar and Sari

Fungal disease comprise an important portion of infections of animals which can cause by yeast fungi and other fungi.Otitis externa is one of the most important fungal infections in many of animals especially dogs.maiassezia species are present as normal flora in different parts of animal bodies especially ear canal of dogs and can causes otitis externa.moisture is one of the most important predisposing factor in otitis externa;moisture is very different between Garmsar and Sari then has been done a comparative frequency of Maiassezia pachydermatis isolated from external ear canal in dogs in two cities.we randomised chosed 100 cases of dogs from garmsar and sari and took samples from external ear canals.direct microscopic examinations and cultures were identified in species level.the results of this study indicated that frequency of maiassezia pachydermatis isolated from external ear canals in Garmsar and Sari is respectively 14 and 30 percent that prove the effect different moisture climate on fungal flora.
