Administrative Divisions and Population Distribution of Semnan province

Semnan Province is one of the extensive provinces of Iran. So that among the Iranian thirty provices, this province in the field of area is ranked seven. But in view of population is situated in 29. Therefore, this population taking into consideration of its area is very small but at least a half of its area in its turn is possessed of sufficient conditions for settlement of human populations at least in average level of our countryʹs population density. Therefore, at the present time, this character for this province is not existed, in addition this province in view of pop. density (The number of persons in level unit) between our 30 provinces has the lowest rank. And arrangement of population settled in it has no necessary orders in a manner that more population of this province situated in the confines of this cities (Especially first rank cities of province) and also in surrounding areas of these cities and along the trans-road of province. And other areas of province in spite of having sufficient conditions, suffers from a downward trend and pop. distribution or sporadicity of population and pop. settlements (due to their age). In this essay, we intend to explain the situation and effective approaches for a suitable and desirable distribution of population in the whole of this important province of Iran.
