ارزيابي ميزان توافق والدين و كودكان 10-8 ساله شهر اصفهان در گزارش كيفيت زندگي مرتبط با سلامت دهان و دندان

Evaluation of agreement levels between parents and children in reporting child oral health-related quality of life in 8-10 year-old children in Isfahan

چكيده مقدمه: سلامت دهان شامل سلامتي دهان و بافت‌هاي مربوطه است كه امكان فعاليت‌هاي روزانه و روابط اجتماعي مطلوب را بدون ناراحتي فراهم مي‌آورد. اين پژوهش، توافق بين والدين و كودكان10-8 ساله در گزارش كيفيت زندگي مرتبط با سلامت دهان كودك را مورد بررسي قرار داد. مواد و روش‌ها: اين پژوهش توصيفي- تحليلي و از نوع مقطعي است. به منظور انجام اين پژوهش، 138 جفت والد- كودك 10-8 ساله از مدارس ابتدايي شهر اصفهان به صورت تصادفي انتخاب گرديد و از آن‌ها خواسته شد تا به پرسش‌نامه‌ها پاسخ دهند. پرسش‌نامه‌ها كيفيت زندگي را در 4 حيطه علايم دهاني، نقص عملكردي، سلامت احساسي و اجتماعي مورد بررسي قرار دادند. جهت بررسي توافق بين والد- كودك از ضريب توافق داخلي (Intracorrelation coefficient يا ICC) و ضريب همبستگي Pearson، Spearman و ضريب ثبات داخلي استفاده شد. يافته‌ها: ميزان توافق بين نمره كل شاخص‌هاي 10-8 (Parent perception questionnaire) PPQ و 10-8 (Child perception questionnaire) CPQ و حيطه‌هاي آن‌ها 63/0، 28/0-، 67/0- به دست آمد. بيشترين توافق در حيطه نقص عملكردي و به صورت مناسب (69/0 = ICC)، سپس در حيطه علايم دهاني توافق متوسط (56/0 = ICC) و در حيطه سلامت احساسي به صورت مختصر (31/0 = ICC) گزارش شد. كمترين ميزان توافق مربوط به حيطه سلامت اجتماعي (08/0 = ICC) گزارش گرديد. مطابق آزمون Pearson بين 10-8CPQ و 10-8PPQ (46/0 = r)، ارتباط معني‌دار وجود داشت (01/0 > p value). نتيجه‌گيري: والدين خصوصاً والد مادر مي‌تواند گزارش‌گر مكمل كيفيت زندگي و حيطه‌هاي آن باشد، هر‌چند براي آن‌كه اطلاعات سلامت دهان و دندان به صورت كامل براي نيازسنجي فراهم گردد نظر كودك و والد هر دو مورد نياز مي‌باشد. كليد واژه‌ها: كيفيت زندگي، والدين، هيپوپلازي ميناي دندان، مال اكلوژن.

Abstract Introduction: Oral health includes healthy mouth and its healthy tissues, which prepares us for daily activities without discomfort and dissatisfaction. In this research, agreement level between parents and children aged 8-10 in rating child oral health-related quality of life was studied in Isfahan. Materials and methods: In this descriptive, analytical and cross-sectional study 138 pairs of parents and children aged 8-10 were selected with simple random sampling technique from elementary schools in Isfahan and were asked to complete the relevant questionnaires. The questionnaires evaluated quality of life in four fields of oral signs, functional deficits, and emotional and social health. In order to evaluate child-parent agreement, intra-correlation coefficient (ICC), Pearson’s correlation coefficient, Spearman’s correlation coefficient and intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) were used. Results: The agreements between PPQ8-10 (parent perception questionnaire), CPQ8-10 (child perception questionnaire) and the related fields were 0.63, -0.28, and -0.67. The highest agreement level (ICC = 0.69) was related to functional deficits (good), followed by oral signs (ICC = 0.56) (moderate) and emotional health (ICC = 0.31) (mild). The least agreement level was related to social health (ICC = 0.08). Pearsonʹs test showed significant correlations between CPQ8-10 and PPQ8-10 (r = 0.46) (p value < 0.01). Conclusion: Although parents, especially mothers, may be used as proxies for their children in relation to quality of life and related fields, the views of both should be obtained in order to fully represent child oral health-related quality of life issues.
