چكيده
كشّ نامي است مشترك براي چند مكان در مناطق شرقي جهان اسلام. در منابع رجالي، تاريخي و جغرافيايي از كشّ‌ها و كشّي‌هاي بسياري سخن رفته است. در اين مقاله شش مكان كه كش نام داشته شناسايي شده، ضبط‌هاي مختلف و موقعيت جغرافيايي آنها به دست داده شده، مشاهير منسوب به آنها معرفي شده، و به برخي از اشتباهات و خلط‌هايي كه در كاربرد نام اين مكان‌ها و منسوبان بدانها صورت گرفته، اشاره شده است.

Kash is a common name for several places in Islamic world. Several mentions has been made of keshiʹs in Rejal sources, history and geography; this article is an attempt to identify six places named kesh according to different records, geographical places, and the associated scholars, as well as the misapplications in the use and the attributed scholars.
