Assessing and Ranking the Software Available in Archival Centers of Iran

هدف: يكپارچگي نرم افزارهاي كتابخانه اي مي تواند امكان مديريت بهتر اطلاعات را فراهم سازد. نرم افزار كتابخانه اي، بايد به گونه اي طراحي و توليد شود كه ضمن سادگي، در برگيرنده قابليت هاي مختلفي جهت انجام انواع جست وجوها، ارايه نتايج بازيابي، نمايش اطلاعات، و مديريت سابقه جست وجو براي انواع منابع اطلاعاتي باشد. اين نكته، درمورد نرم افزارهاي آرشيوي نيز صدق مي كند. به اين ترتيب، وجود نرم افزار آرشيوي جامع، براساس ساختاري استاندارد، در مراكز آرشيوي، مي تواند نيازهاي كاربران ِ آن يعني آرشيويست ها و پژوهشگران را در زمينه دستيابي به اطلاعات مورد نياز برطرف سازد. روش گردآوري و تحليل داده ها: پژوهش حاضر از نوع توصيفي است و به صورت پيمايشي انجام شده است. در مرحله اول، با بررسي متون مختلف و گفت وگو با برخي متخصصان حوزه آرشيو، يك سياهه وارسي از مواد آرشيوي به دست آمد. بر اساس اطلاعات به دست آمده از سياهه وارسي مشخص شد كه در هر مركز آرشيوي چه نوعي از مواد آرشيوي موجود است. در مرحله بعدي ، نرم افزارهاي موجود در مراكز آرشيوي شناسايي و ارزيابي شد. براي اين منظور، يك سياهه وارسي تهيه شد. در سياهه وارسي، پژوهشگر، ضمن شناسايي نرم افزارهاي مورد استفاده در هر مركز جهت مديريت منابع آرشيوي، با مشاهده اين نرم افزارها به بررسي قابليت هاي لازم در يك نرم افزار آرشيوي پرداخت. يافته ها: در اين پژوهش، مشخص شد كه نرم افزارهاي «نقش جهان» و «شناسنامه فرهنگي ايثارگران» داراي كمترين ميزان انطباق با مولفه هاي موجود در سياهه وارسي هستند. بيشتر نرم افزارهاي آرشيوي بررسي شده، در بهره گيري از راهنماي كارآمد و استانداردهاي آرشيوي، داراي نقاط ضعف بودند. نتيجه گيري: بررسي ها مشخص كرد كه هيچ كدام از نرم افزارهاي آرشيوي مورد مطالعه، استانداردهاي آرشيوي را مورد استفاده قرار نمي دهند. البته نرم افزارهاي رسا و سيمرغ، به صورتي مقدماتي و در حدي ضعيف، تاحدودي ايساد( استانداردهاي بين المللي تنظيم و توصيف آرشيوي) را مورد توجه قرار داده بودند.

Purpose: The homogeneity of library software programs paves the way for easier management of information. Library software should be designed and presented in such a way that along with comfortable application, it contains various capabilities suitable for different types of search, presenting the results of information retrieval, displaying the information and managing the search history, functional for different types of information resources. The archival software programs applied in archival centers need the same qualities. A comprehensive archival program, which is based on standards of archival construction, can broadly satisfy the needs of both archivists and researchers for better access to the archival information. The main purpose of this research is to assess the archival centers of Iran in terms of their archival software. Methodology: The present research employs the descriptive/survey method. As the first step, a checklist containing archival requirements was prepared through studying different texts and interviewing archiving professionals. On the basis of the information obtained, it was ascertained which types of archival requirements were covered at any archival center. The next step was identifying and assessing the software programs available in the archival centers against a checklist. Through this checklist the software programs available in any archival center were calibrated. This study on the present software programs enabled the researchers to analyze the presence or absence of the various capabilities in the software. Findings: This research shows that the “Naghshe Jahan” and “Shenasnameye Farhangie Isargaran” programs have the least compliance with the factors mentioned in the checklist. Most of the studied archival software programs had some weak points in applying archival standards and presenting an efficient guideline. The findings also indicate that none of the studied archival software programs apply adequate archival standards; however, “Rasa” and “Simorq” programs have a basic and elementary capability.
