كاربرد استاندارد محتوايي (دي.اِي.سي.اس.) در توصيف و سازماندهي اسناد آرشيوهاي رقمي

Application of DACS Content Standard in Describing and Organizing Documents of Digital Archives

هدف: هدف اين مقاله، بحث درباره كاربرد فراداده در توصيف و سازماندهي اطلاعات و اسناد آرشيوهاي رقمي، و تشريح مبسوط استاندارد محتوايي (دي.اِي.سي.اس. )در توصيف اشياي محتوايي موجود در آرشيوهاي رقمي است. روش/ رويكرد پژوهش: اين پژوهش به روش كتابخانه اي انجام شده است. در اين مقاله، بر اساس دستنامه اي كه توسط انجمن كتابداران آمريكا در سال 2004 براي آرشيو ها تهيه شده، و بر-اساس بخش ها و ساختار استاندارد محتوايي‌، عناصر هسته اي براي توصيف هر‌يك از موجوديت ها و اشياي محتوايي موجود در آرشيوهاي رقمي ارايه مي‌گردد. ارزش پژوهش: با توجه به اينكه پژوهش هاي كمي پيرامون استانداردهاي محتوايي و نقش آنها در سازماندهي اشياي محتوايي آرشيوهاي رقمي صورت پذيرفته است؛ در مقاله حاضر، سعي شده است با معرفي استاندارد محتوايي و ارايه جدول عناصر هسته اين استاندارد براي توصيف موجوديت-ها و اشياي محتوايي آرشيوها، آرشيوها در بازيابي و مبادله موجوديت هاي آرشيوي خود با موجوديت هاي آرشيوهاي ديگر دچار مشكلات كمتري شوند. يافته ها: بر‌اساس يافته هاي پژوهش، دي. اِي. سي. اس. ،يكي از استانداردهاي محتوايي در حوزه آرشيو است كه مجموعه قوانيني براي توصيف مواد آرشيوي، اسناد شخصي، و مجموعه نسخه‌هاي خطي(اِي.پي.پي.ام. ) و همه انواع اشياي محتوايي با تاكيد بر دنياي رقمي فراهم مي كند. نتيجه گيري: استانداردها با تامين سامانه اي موثر و منسجم جهت آرشيوها و آرشيوداران، باعث ايجاد هماهنگي لازم در ميان مجموعه هاي مختلف اطلاعاتي مي شوند.

Purpose: This research discusses the application of metadata in describing and organizing the information and documents of digital archives. It also presents a detailed account of the DACS content standard in describing the content objects available in digital archives. Methodology/Approach: This research has been done by library methods. In this article, on the basis of a handbook for archives offered by the American Library Association in 2004, and also based on the parts and structure of the DACS content standard, the core elements for describing each of the content objects and entities available in digital archives are introduced Research value: Since limited research has been carried out on content standards and the role of these standards in organizing the digital archives’ content objects, this article tries to introduce the DACS content standard and to present this standardʹs core elements table in order to reduce the problems of incompatibility, and help different archives in retrieving and exchanging their entities with other archives’ entities. Findings: Based on the findings of this research, DACS is one of the content standards used in archives, for preparing sets of rules for describing Archives, Personal Papers, and Manuscripts (APPM) and all types of content objects, with an emphasis on the digital world. Conclusion: Standards like DACS provide an effective and coherent system for archives and archivists and therefore create the required coordination between different information collections.
