اين هماني شخص دنيوي و اخروي دستاويزي براي رد امكان معاد قرار گرفته است. اين مشكل در رويكردهاي مختلف نفس شناسي مورد توجه است؛ بدم با طرح اشكالاتي از جمله «شبيه سازي» ادعا كرده، حتي در دوگانه انگاري، مسيله اين هماني حل نشدني است. در يگانه انگاري- كه رويكرد برخي متكلمان مسلمان و مسيحي و اكثر فلاسفه دين غربي است- اين مشكل جدي تر است. اين مقاله با رد اشتباه بَدم، نشان مي دهد در فرض دوگانه انگاري هيچ مشكلي در اين هماني نفس نخواهد بود، در فرض يگانه انگاري يا براي اثبات اين هماني بدن دنيوي و اخروي نيز هرچند دو راه حل « خلق مجدد» و « بقاي ماده اصلي» توسط متفكرين غربي عرضه شده است، اما نظر متفكرين اسلامي كه برگرفته از روايات معصومين است، تبيين كامل تر ي هم از اين هماني نفس و هم اين هماني بدن دنيوي و اخروي ارايه مي كند.

Personal identity is a problem in the possibility of Resurrection. What criterion is there that we can say a resurrected man is the same as the expired one? What is the answer in dualism, and what is in physicalism? Does this question cause to deny possibility of Resurrection? Some philosopher claim that we have no criterion for identity between these two. And then, they conclude that after life is impossible. In dualism the problem isnʹt personal identity, but bodily identity. In physicalism, Personal identity is the same as bodily identity. Then bodily identity is important both in dualism and physicalism. According to Islamic apologies and narrative, core body is preserved and in time of resurrection this basic, substance and essential material of body will be reestablished. This view resolves all of the difficulties in the possibility of Resurrection and personal identity.
