The Fountainhead of the Concepts beyond the Symbols and Imagery in Baha-e-Valadʹʹs Maaref

بها ‌ولد به منظور بيان تجربههاي عرفاني خويش، تصاوير و رمزهاي خاص خود را ابداع كرده است. تخيلات مصور شده او را ميتوان حاصل حالات و رويدادهاي خلوت و به عنوان دريافتي شهودي از عالمي مثال گونه قلمداد كرد كه در روان شناسي تجارب عرفاني، از آن به ديدار با خويشتن تعبير ميشود. اين جستار در تحليل و ماهيت شناسي رمزهاي بها ولد در معارف و در مسير شناخت سرچشمه‌هاي تخييل و خاستگاه‌هاي جوشش اين تصاوير، نشان مي‌دهد مبناي تصويرها و رمزهاي بها ولد معيت الله با اوست. وي با درك اين معيت، به حال اتحاد مي‌رسد و با ديدگاهي كل نگر، ضمن تعميم اين حال به جهان بيرون، خوشي و لذت ناشي از آن را نيز به همه عناصر هستي نسبت ميدهد. او در حقيقت، مزه گرفتن خود در اين تجارب را نموداري از همراهي و يگانگي صانع خاص با مصنوع عام ميداند. مستند بها ولد در اين باره نظريه‌اي است مبتني بر كمال كه نوعي تكليف فراگير از سوي حق براي اجزاي هستي است.

In order to express his visionary experiences, Baha-e-valad has innovated his own symbols and imagery. Such illustrations of imagination may be interpreted as the product of his intuitive experiences of visits to the realm of Ideas referred to as a vision of oneʹs Self in psychological, mystic terms. The present study, in an attempt to study and analyze the nature of the symbols in Baha-e-Valadʹs Maaref, and to shed light on the origins of his images, reveals that the clue to these images and symbols is the Companionship of God with him. It is through realizing such a Divine Companionship that he achieves the Divine Unification, while in a holistic view, extending such an experience to the whole universe, he attributes its resulting exaltations to all the elements in the universe. In fact, he interprets his taste of the Divine as a manifestation of the Companionship and Unification of the Unique Creator with the lay creature, evidenced on the basis of a theory of Perfection according to which all elements of the universe are assigned a divine duty.
