چكيده فارسي :
آن‌چه در اين مقاله آمده است، بيان اجمالي داستان آفرينش آدم، صدور فرمان خداوند به فرشتگان براي آوردن مُشتي خاك از زمين است و اين كه از ميان اين فرشتگان تنها عزراييل موفّق مي‌شود با اغفال زمين، مشتي خاك برگيرد و فرمان الاهي را اجرا كند.
اين داستان كه در دفتر پنجم مثنوي و مرصادالعباد نجم رازي آمده است، براي بيان دو هدف متفاوت است:
مولانا نخست از مساله خير و شرّ سخن مي‌گويد و نتيجه مي‌گيرد كه امتناع خاك در ردّ پذيرش ماموريت فرشتگان براي آن است كه گرفتار خير و شرّ نشود.
نجم رازي به دليلي ديگر متوّسل مي‌شود و آن اين كه از ترس قرب حقّ خاك سرباز مي‌زند و مي‌گويد من نهايت بُعد را برگزيده‌ام تا از وحشت قُرب در امان بمانم.
در خلال اين روايت نكاتي ظريف و خواندني از مولانا و نجم رازي در فضيلت دل و روح و خصايص فرشتگان برمي‌خوانيد.
چكيده لاتين :
This article provides a brief introduction to the story of creation of man. God commands the angels to bring some dust from the earth and that among them only the angle of death succeeds to grant God’s command by deceiving the earth. This story is included in the fifth book of Masnavi and Najm Razi’s Mersad-al-ebad for two entirely different purposes. Mowlana first speaks of the issue of good and evil and concludes that the earth’s refusal of the God’s command was for the reason not to be involved with the issue of good and evil whereas Najm Razi believes the reason to be the fear of close proximity to God stating that I have chosen the ultimate distance in order to be safe from the fear of closeness. In this narrative, interesting subtle points from both Mowlana and Najm Razi on subjects such as virtues of heart and soul, and characteristic features of angles are presented
