انديشه‌‌هاي والا و تاب‌ناك مولانا از درخشان‌ترين تجليات معنويت و روحانيت در مشرق زمين بشمار مي‌رود و همين معنويت اصيل است كه در جهان امروز كه ماده‌پرستي از هر سويي بشريت را تهديد مي‌كند، اهميتي فوق‌العاده يافته است. در حقيقت، ذوق زايدالوصف و انديشه‌هاي بلند و آسماني و روح عميق و عرفاني مولانا بزرگ‌ترين گنجينه و ارمغاني ارزنده‌ بوده كه امكان دارد ملتي به فرهنگ و ادب و تمدن جهان اهدا كرده باشد؛ تا آن‌جا كه فروغ تاب‌ناك معنويت او از سرزمين‌هاي دور و نزديك از افكار شاعر و متفكر بلندآوازه شبه قاره، يعني علامه اقبال تا پروفسور نيكلسون مستشرق شهير انگلستان و مصحح و شارح مثنوي مولانا در غرب همه را تحت تاثير انديشه‌هاي بلند و انسان ساز خود قرار داده است. نگارنده در اين مقاله كوشيده است تا گوشه‌ها و نمونه‌هايي از اين تاثيرات شگرف مولانا را بر متفكران جهان، بويژه اديبان و عارفان شبه قاره نشان دهد.

The sublime thoughts of Moulana are considered as the most illuminating manifestation of spirituality in the east and it is such pure spirituality which finds utmost importance in the world today where humanity is threatened by the materialism from every direction. In fact, the phenomenal talent and grand and heavenly thoughts and profound soul of Moulanahas been the greatest treasure ever presented by any nation to the literature, culture, and civilization of the world to the extent that the illuminating light of his spirituality has captured the heart and soul of great thinkers and poets from all over the globe from AllamehIqbal in the subcontinentto Professor Nicholson the famous English orientalist and commentator of Masnavi in the west. They are all under the influence of Moulana’s profound humane thoughts. It is therefore the purpose of this article to illustrate instances of such influence particularly focusing on the mystics and literary figures of the subcontinent.
