The Effect of Ownership Structure and Corporate Governance on the Capital Structure Decisions of Listed Companies in Tehran Stock Exchange

چكيده: در اين پژوهش رابطه بين تصميمات ساختار سرمايه با ساختار مالكيت و نظام راهبري شركت براي شركت هاي پذيرفته شده در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران مورد بررسي قرار گرفته است. هدف اين پژوهش تعيين رابطه ميان سه نسبت مالي به عنوان معيارهاي ساختار سرمايه با سازوكارهاي نظام راهبري و ساختار مالكيت شركت ها مي باشد. در فرضيه اصلي رابطه تصميمات ساختار سرمايه شركت با ساختار مالكيت و نظام راهبري شركتي آزمون مي شود. براي تجزيه و تحليل داده ها، سه مدل رگرسيون تدوين و مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. جامعه آماري، شركت هاي توليدي پذيرفته شده در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران طي دوره زماني 1388-1381 است. نتايج حاصل از تجزيه و تحليل داده ها بيانگر تاييد هر فرضيه مورد بررسي و در نهايت فرضيه اصلي مورد بررسي با استفاده از داده هاي تركيبي مي باشد. به بيان ديگر رابطه معني دار بين تصميمات ساختار سرمايه شركت با ساختار مالكيت و نظام راهبري شركتي وجود دارد.

Abstract: The relation between capital structure decisions and corporate governance and ownership structure for the listed companies in Tehran stock exchange is studied in this paper. The aim is to determine the relation between 3 financial ratios as capital structure criteria and companiesʹ structure & corporate governance mechanisms. The main hypothesis, the relation between company capital structure decisions and corporate governance and ownership structure is tested. For data analysis, 3 regression models are compiled and applied. The sample is the listed companies in Tehran stock exchange within the 2002-2009 intervals. Data analysis results suggest the confirmation of each hypothesis in question, and at the end, the confirmation of the main hypothesis studied using combinatorial data. In another word, there exists a significant relation between company capital decisions and corporate governance & ownership structure.
