بررسي تاثير كاربرد استعاره بر حافظه افراد دوزبانه

The study of the influence of metaphor use on bilinguals’ memory performance

در اين پژوهش كوشيده‏ايم تا تفاوت عمل‏كرد كلي را در حافظه افراد دو‏زبانه درباره عبارت‏هاي استعاري و غير‏استعاري با يكديگر مقايسه كنيم و بدين منظور، از‏ميان دانشجويان داوطلب دو‏زبانه آذري‏زبان، سي نفر را برگزيده‏ايم. براي بررسي عمل‏كرد حافظه آزمودني‏ها، نخست سي عبارت استعاري و غيراستعاري آذري را در‏برابر آنها گذاشتيم و از آنها آزمون فرا‏خواني آزاد گرفتيم؛ سپس به‏منظور مقايسه عمل‏كرد حافظه در زبان‏هاي اول و دوم، سي عبارت استعاري فارسي و آذري را در‏اختيار آزمودني‏ها قرار داديم و از آنان آزمون فرا‏خواني آزاد گرفتيم. فرضيه‏هاي پژوهش با استفاده از آزمون آماري t گروه‏هاي وابسته آزموده شده‏اند. نتايج حاصل از بررسي فرضيه‏ها نشان مي‏دهند كه ميزان فرا‏خواني مواد استعاري، به‏گونه‏اي معنا‏دار، بيش‏از مواد غير‏استعاري است؛ افراد دو‏زبانه، استعاره‌هاي زبان اول را بيش‏از استعاره‌هاي زبان دوم به‏ياد مي‏آورند و اين تفاوت،‌ از‏نظر آماري معنا‏دار است. با توجه به اين يافته‌ها مي‏توان نتيجه گرفت كه مفاهيم استعاري به‏سبب برخوردار‏بودن از خصوصيات خاص شناختي، داراي ويژگي‌هايي هستند كه كاربرد آنها قدرت به‏خاطر‏سپردن مواد را افزايش مي‌دهد؛ همچنين در زبان اول، توان انتقال مفاهيم هيجاني، بيش‏از زبان دوم است و بنابراين، استعاره‌هاي زبان اول از اولويت شناختي برخوردارند.

In this study we have tried to compare the difference of overall performance between metaphorical and non- metaphorical expressions on bilinguals’ memory performance; and therefore 30 volunteer Azari bilingual participants were selected. To study the memory performance of the subjects, first we provided thirty metaphorical and non- metaphorical Azari expressions for students and then administered a free recall test. Then, we provided thirty metaphorical Farsi and Azari expressions for subjects in order to compare the memory performance in the first and second language. The research hypotheses were tested using dependent-groups t-test. Findings of the study showed that participants’ remembrance of metaphorical expressions is significantly more than non-metaphoricals; bilinguals have remembered metaphors of the first language more than the second language, and this difference was statistically significant. With regards to these findings, we can conclude that metaphoric concepts, because of specific characteristics of the cognitive properties, have features which using them will increase the power to remember materials; in the first language also, the transfer of emotional concepts, is more than in the second language; and therefore, the metaphors of the first language have cognitive priority.
