توسعه پايدار، پيشرفت هاي قابل توجهي در برپايي پايداري زيست محيطي و اجتماعي نسبت به مديريت عمليات و زنجيره تامين داشته است. اتخاذ راهبرد سرمايه گذاري در زمينه بهبود عملكرد زيست محيطي زنجيره تامين مزايا و منافع زيادي را مانند صرفه جويي در منابع انرژي، كاهش آلاينده ها، حذف يا كاهش ضايعات، ايجاد ارزش براي مشتريان و در نهايت ارتقاي بهره وري را براي شركت ها و سازمان ها به همراه خواهد داشت. سازندگان در اواخر دهه 1980 از آنچه در قوانين مورد نياز بود، فراتر رفته و به سمت رويكرد سبز در عمليات سيستم خود حركت نمودند. هدف از تدوين اين مقاله، بررسي ادبيات مديريت زنجيره تامين سبز 2(GSCM) به طور خلاصه و ارايه چارچوب براي حركت به سمت سبز شدن زنجيره تامين مي باشد. همچنين در ادامه به بررسي زنجيره تامين دو شركت فعال و موفق در اين زمينه پرداخته مي شود.

Making investments in this regard so as to enhance the environmental performance of a supply chain system can bring about numerous advantages for the organizations and enterprises as they will be able to save a remarkable amount of energy resources, reduce the pollutants, eliminate or minimize waste, create value for the customers, and consequently improve productivity. Manufacturers in the late 1980’s went beyond what was required in the legislation and went for a greener approach in their operations systems. The purpose of this paper is to briefly review the literature of the green supply chain management (GSCM) and provide a framework for the progress towards a greener supply chain system. In this paper, the supply chains of two leading companies which have been quite successful in this respect have also been analyzed analyses.
