The verse of "Mukhallafin" (the left behind ones) and the problem of caliphate in the viewpoint of Muslim theologians and exegetes

برخي از مفسّران و متكلّمان اهل‏سنّت كوشيده‏اند براي وقايع پس از رحلت پيامبر اكرم9 مستندات قرآني بيابند. از جمله مستندات ايشان، آيه شانزدهم سوره فتح است. از نظر ايشان، آيه مزبور در خصوص خلافت و حقّانيّت خلافت ابوبكر و ديگر خلفا از جايگاه خاصي برخوردار است. از قرار معلوم اختلاف در تعيين مصداق دو تعبيرِ «قوم» و «داعي» در عبارت (سَتَدعُونَ) كه در آيه شريفه وجود دارد، خاستگاه اختلاف مفسّران مكتب اهل‏بيت: و مكتب خلفا در تفسير آن بوده است. بر اين اساس، روشن شدن مصاديق اين دو تعبير، بسياري از اختلافات تفسيري پيرامون اين آيه را حل خواهد كرد. مفسّران اهل‏سنّت معتقدند منظور از «قوم» در آيه شريفه، «بنوحنيفه» هستند، كه از اقوام و ياوران مسيلمه كذّابند، و مقصود از «داعي» نيز ابوبكر است. از ديدگاه شيعه امّا، منظور از «قوم» قوم هوازن و ثقيف و مقصود از «داعي» نيز پيامبر اكرم9مي‏باشد و اين آيه به هيچ وجه ارتباطي با ابوبكر و موضوع خلافت ندارد.

Some Sunni exegetes and theologians have tried to find Qurʹanic evidences for the events happened after the departure of the holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). From among their evidences is the sixth verse of "Fath" chapter. According to them, the mentioned verse has a particular place regarding the caliphate and the accuracy of the caliphate of Abubakr and the other caliphs. It seems that the controversy on the denotation of two concepts of "people of great might" and "caller" in the phrase "you will be called" which exist in the mentioned verse has caused disputation between the exegetes of the school of the household of the Prophet and those of the school of caliphs concerning its exegesis. Accordingly, clarity of the denotation of these two concepts will erase much exegetic disputation about this verse. Sunni exegetes believe that "Banu Hnifa" who were Musailimah Kazzabʹs relatives and aides are intended by the "people of great might" in the noble verse and "Abubakr" is intended by the "caller". But according to Shiʹa perspective, the folk of Hawazin and Thaghif are intended by "people" and the holy prophet is intended by "caller" and this verse does not have any relationship to Abubakr and the matter of caliphate.
