بررسي كاركرد راوي در رمان همه چيز فرو مي‌پاشد اثر چينوا آچبه از منظر روايت‌شناسي پسااستعماري

The Study of Narrator’s Function in Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart in the Light of Postcolonial Narratology

تصوير ارايه شده از سرزمينهاي تحت سلطه در نوشتههاي نويسندگان غربي، همواره نظر‌ورزانه و يك جانبه بوده است. در اين راستا، ارايه تصويري صحيح از اين سرزمين‌ها براي باز پس‌گيري عزت از دست رفته بوميان، از اهداف ادبيات پسااستعماري است. رمان همه چيز فرو مي‌پاشد اثر چينوآچبه تلاشي در اين زمينه است. مقاله حاضر، با معرفي روايت‌شناسي پسااستعماري كه به‌ پيوند عناصر روايت و مفاهيم پسا‌استعماري توجه دارد، به ‌بررسي رابطه زاويه ديد با استعمار‌زدايي در اين رمان مي‌پردازد. براي اين منظور، اين جستار با استمداد از روايت‌شناسي ژرارد ژنت كه در آن زاويه ديد به‌ دو ‌بخش كانون ديد و راوي تقسيم‌بندي مي‌شود، نشان مي‌دهد چگونه آچبه توانمندي‌هاي راوي برون‌داستاني را همچون وثوق بالا، تسلط بر اثر و... در خدمت هدف خود قرار مي‌دهد. به عبارت ديگر، انتخاب اين راوي موقعيت‌هايي را براي تحقق هدف نويسنده در اختيار وي قرار مي‌دهد كه با انتخاب راوي ديگري ممكن نمي‌شد.

Western Imperialism always depicted a biased image of the colonized nations. Therefore, portraying the reality of Africa to restore the lost dignity of the natives is one of the aims of postcolonial literature. Achebe’s Things Fall Apart is an attempt in this regard. Employing postcolonial narratology, the present study examines the relation of the novel’s point of view and the concept of decolonization. Dwelling on Gerard Genette’s narratology in which point of view is divided into two different concepts of focalization and narration, this study investigates how the potentialities of extradiegetic narrator such as high degree of reliability are at the service of decolonization in the novel. In other words, the choice of this sort of narrator provides Achebe with options to fulfill his very aim which would not be accomplished with a different choice.
