معرفت‌شناسي نيازمند عمل‌شناسي است

Epistemology Is in Need of Pragmatics

يكي از مهم‌ترين، و در عين حال پر رونق‌ترين، مباحث در قلمرو معرفت‌شناسي، در پنجاه شصت سال اخير، پيرامون «ماهيت معرفت قضيه‌‌اي» بوده است. مطابق ديدگاه رايج در ميان معرفت‌شناسان «معرفت قضيه‌اي» تحقق نمي‌يابد مگر آ‌نكه «اعتقادي صادق» وجود داشته باشد. اين بدان معني است كه اعتقاد صادق به يك قضيه شرط ضروري معرفت به آن قضيه است. بنابراين S در صورتي معرفت دارد كه p، كه S داراي اعتقاد صادق باشد كه p. تصور معرفت‌شناسان از قضيه و اعتقاد صادق، و درنتجه معرفت، به عنوان امري معنايي و معرفتي است كه از هرگونه عنصر يا شرط عمل‌شناختي تخليه شده است. ما در اين مقاله در پي آن هستيم تا نشان دهيم اين تصوري نادرست است، و معرفت نه تنها مقوله‌اي معنايي و معرفتي است بلكه تابع ملاحظات عمل‌شناختي نيز هست. به دليل آنكه قضيه، به عنوان محتواي اعتقاد de re / de dicto و نيز صدق و كذب آن، به عمل‌شناسي و اصول روان‌ـ‌جامعه‌شناختي حاكم بر آن نيازمند و وابسته است.

One of the most important, and at the same time, popular discussions within the realm of epistemology in the last five decades, is about the issue of “the nature of knowledge”. According to the current accepted view among epistemologists, there would be no “propositional knowledge” if there exist no “true believing”. So S knows p, only if S is in th state of having true belief that p. Epistemologistsʹ conception of true proposition and true belief, and accordingly knowledge, is result of a semantic and epistemic notion void of any pragmatic element or condition. In this paper, I try to show that this conception is not correct, and knowledge is not only a matter of semantics and epistemology but further it is subjected to pragmatic considerations. For propositions, as the content of our de re/de dicto beliefs, and their truth or falsity, are dependent upon pragmatics and its psycho-social principles
