يكي از راه‌هاي ارتقاي هوش فرهنگي، توسعه دانش هوش فرهنگي است. دانش هوش فرهنگي يكي از ابعاد هوش فرهنگي است كه به سطح درك ما از فرهنگ و چگونگي تفاوت فرهنگ‌ها با يكديگر اطلاق مي‌شود. عدم آگاهي نسبت به اينكه چگونه فرهنگ، روش انديشيدن و رفتار مردم را شكل مي‌دهد، ممكن است هزينه زيادي بر سازمان‌ها تحميل نمايد. تا كنون تحقيقات بسياري نشان داده است كه شكست‌هاي بزرگ در كسب و كارهاي عظيم تا فروشگاه‌هاي كوچك در سراسر جهان به دليل عدم آگاهي از نقش فرهنگ‌ بر نحوه فكر، كار و رفتار مردم اتفاق افتاده است. رهبران عصر حاضر بدون داشتن بينشي قوي درباره چگونگي تاثير فرهنگ بر شكل‌ گيري افكار و انديشه‌هاي مردمي كه تحت تاثير آن رهبري هستند، يك رهبر كارآمد تلقي نمي‌شوند. اين مقاله ابتدا به تعريف فرهنگ و ابعاد آن و همچنين توصيف دانش هوش فرهنگي پرداخته است. در ادامه يادگيري ارزش‌هاي محوري فرهنگ به عنوان يكي از روش‌هاي مهم توسعه دانش هوش فرهنگي مورد بررسي قرار گرفته و در پايان پيشنهاداتي جهت توسعه هوش فرهنگي ارايه شده است.

One of the most important ways to enhance Cultural Intelligence (CQ) is developing CQ Knowledge. CQ Knowledge is one of the dimensions of Cultural Intelligence, that refers to the level of understanding about culture and the ways cultures differ. The Lack of awareness of how culture shapes the way people think and behave can be expensive for organizations. Many researches consistently demonstrate a high level of failure in big and medium size businesses around the world, when they expand into international markets without an awareness of how people from other cultures think and behave. Today, leaders without some insight into how culture shapes the thoughts and behaviors of the people touched by their leadership cannot be considered as an effective leader. In this article after definitions of culture and its dimensions, CQ Knowledge has been described. Then learning some core cultural values as one of the most ways to develop CQ Knowledge has been discussed and finally some more ways to develop CQ Knowledge are provided.
