Exploring the Impact of Creativity and Innovation Management, and Technology Scouting on Organizations in Turbulent Environment for Long-term Survival

موسسات و بنگا ههاي كوچك و بزرگ اقتصادي معمولاً در شرايط كسب و كار پيچيده، پر تلاطم و ناپايدار فعاليت م يكنند. به دليل پيشرف تهاي فناوري، جهان با سرعتي غير قابل پي شبيني در حال تغيير است. براي بيشتر كسب و كارها، توانايي پايش، شناسايي و تسلط بر فناوري ها و توانمندي هاي فناورانه امري ضروري است. فناوري و نوآوري در تركيب با سرمايه و استعدادهاي انساني م يتوانند در شرايط بحرا نهاي اقتصادي به مثابه موتور رشد و توسع ه موسسات عمل نمايند. در اين مقاله، اهميت مديريت خلاقيت و نوآوري و ديده باني فناوري براي سازمان ها در شرايط كاري متلاطم و ناپايدار مورد بررسي قرار گرفته و نشان داده مي شود كه برندگان آنهايي خواهند بود كه بتوانند هر چه بيشتر با ابزارهاي فناوري و نوآوري راه هايي براي افزايش بهره وري و توان رقابتي بيابند. در اين مقاله تاكيد مي شود كه نوآوري در دنياي امروز يك كار گروهي است و مديريت موفق گروه هاي نوآوري، يك هنر است. مديران نم يتوانند خلاقيت را سفارش دهند بلكه تنها بايد محيطي براي رشد و بروز خلاقيت فراهم سازند. اولين گام مهم و اساسي به سوي نوآوري، باز بودن يك سازمان در برابر ايده ها و مفاهيم جديد است. در نتيجه در اين مقاله بر اهميت فرهنگ سازماني و ضرورت باز بودن آن و راه هاي دستيابي به اين هدف با اشاره به چند نمونه از تجربيات جهاني تاكيد خاصي شده است. پايش مدام تغييرات فناوري ها يا ديده باني فناوري يك فعاليت مهم كسب و كار است كه مي تواند به عنوان سامانه هشدار و اعلام خطر عمل كند. شناسايي سريع و به موقع فناوري هاي نو ظهور به يك سازمان فرصت زماني لازم براي آمادگي و يا حتي جذب و به دست آوردن اين فناوري ها را قبل از آن كه تاثير منفي بر كسب و كار موسسه بگذارند، مي دهد. در اين مقاله تاكيد مي شود كه سازمان ها بايد از طريق به كارگيري درست فرايند ديده باني فناوري به دقت روند تغييرات در حوزه هاي فناوري كه مي تواند بر كسب و كار آنها تاثير بگذارد را زير نظر بگيرند. به طور كلي در اين مقاله نتيج هگيري شده است كه ايجاد و توسعه محيطي كه پرورش دهنده خلاقيت و نوآوري باشد، يك گام مهم در تضمين بقاي بلندمدت سازمان ها و موسسات در شرايط كاري ناپايدار است. عدم انجام اين كار مي تواند به معناي مرگ موسسه باشد.

Large and small companies are faced with a significant environmental complexity and turbulent business world. The world is changing at an unprecedented rate due to technological advances. For most businesses, the ability to monitor, identify, and master critical technological skills and technologies is important .In times of economic downturn, technology and innovation can be potent sources of growth as long as the investment and talent are there to drive them. Innovation, creativity and technology are enablers of economic advancement. In this paper, the importance of Innovation, Creativity management and Technology Scouting for organizations in a turbulent environment is explored and it is shown that the winners will be those that react to the crisis by further embracing technology and innovation to find ways to become more productive and competitive. It is shown that sometimes it is better for an organization to put another part of itself out of business rather than have the competition destroy the whole business. Innovation is a team effort and successfully managing innovation teams is an art. The first step toward innovation is the openness of an organization to new ideas and concepts. It is mentioned that managers cannot order creativity; managers can only provide an environment where creativity grows well. An important step is to establish an organizational culture that fosters creativity. As one of the biggest obstacles to fostering innovation and creativity is uptight and rigid people, the paper emphasizes on organizational openness to new ideas and concepts and discusses the ways to achieve this goal with a view to past experiments. Technology scouting is another important factor that can serve as an early warning system. The early detection of new technologies allows an organization time to prepare for or even acquire these technologies before they have a negative business impact on the firm. However, it is important that the process is performed in the right way to guarantee the best possible extent of technology surveillance occurs. In this paper, it is explained that organizations must keep a keen focus on technological areas that could affect the business environment. Overall, it is concluded that for organizations in a turbulent environment, developing an environment that fosters creativity and innovation is an important step in assuring long-term survival. To fail to do so can mean the death of an organization.
