Organizational Structure of Medical Sciences University Libraries in Iran based on Stephen Robbins Model

مقدمه: بررسي دوره‌اي ساختار سازماني در هر سازمان از ملزومات است. هدف از پژوهش حاضر، شناسايي ساختار سازماني كتابخانه‌هاي دانشگاه‌هاي علوم پزشكي ايران، بر اساس مدل Stephen Robbins بود. روش بررسي: اين مطالعه به روش توصيفي انجام شد. جامعه‌ي آماري اين پژوهش، همه‌ي مديران كتابخانه‌هاي مركزي دانشگاه‌هاي علوم پزشكي ايران در سال تحصيلي 90-1389 (44 نفر) بودند. حجم نمونه 15 نفر محاسبه شد. نمونه‌گيري به روش تصادفي ساده انجام شد. جمع‌آوري داده‌ها با استفاده از پرسش‌نامه‌ي ترجمه شده‌ي استاندارد Robbins صورت گرفت. روايي اين ابزار با نظر 7 نفر از متخصصان مديريت و كتابداري تاييد شد و پايايي آن با استفاده از Cronbachʹs alpha، 87% به دست آمد. جمع‌آوري داده‌ها به صورت حضوري، پستي و اينترنتي بود و براي تحليل داده‌ها، از آمار توصيفي (ميانگين، ميانه، نما و انحراف معيار) و نرم‌افزار SPSS استفاده شد. يافته‌ها: ميزان سه بعد پيچيدگي، رسميت و تمركز در كتابخانه‌هاي دانشگاه‌هاي علوم پزشكي ايران در حد مطلوب نبود؛ ميزان پيچيدگي كم (42/17)، رسميت زياد (17/24) و تمركز نيز زياد (58/37) بود. نتيجه‌گيري: ساختار سازماني كتابخانه‌هاي دانشگاه‌هاي علوم پزشكي ايران، از وضعيت مطلوبي برخوردار نبود؛ ميزان پيچيدگي، كم و رسميت و تمركز، زياد بود؛ بهتر است ميزان ابعاد بررسي شده، تعديل و بهينه شود. واژه‌‌هاي كليدي: كتابخانه‌هاي دانشگاهي؛ ساختار سازماني؛ ايران

Introduction: It is necessary for every organization to periodically study its structure. The aim of this study was to identify the organizational structures of libraries of university of medical sciences in Iran based on Stephen Robbins model. Methods: This was a descriptive survey. The study population included all the central library managers of medical university libraries in Iran in 2010-2011 (n = 44). Fifteen managers were selected through simple random sampling method. Data were collected using the standard translated questionnaire of Robbins. The validity of this scale has been confirmed using seven library and management professionals and specialists. Its reliability was obtained 87% using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Data were analyzed by SPSS software and descriptive statistics. Results: Libraries in universities of medical sciences in Iran lack efficient structures and are not in an acceptable rate, i.e. the complexity was less than the average level, and the formalization and centralization were greater than the standard level. Conclusion: The study results suggested that the organizational structures of universities of medical sciences in Iran are not efficient. Dimensions of the given structures need to be revised.
