برخي ملاحظات درباره ترجمه پژوهش‌هاي ايران‌شناسي

Remarks on Translation of Iranian Studies (Iranology)

شمار چشمگير و اهميت آثار شرق‌شناسان و ايران‌شناسان، ترجمه برخي از اين پژوهش‌ها را ضروري كرده است؛ و انتشار فراوان اين دسته از آثار در چند دهه اخير به‌صورت ترجمه كتاب و مقاله، ضرورت ارزيابي و بررسي آن‌ها را نشان مي‌دهد. بررسي پياپي ترجمه‌ها نشان مي‌دهد كه اصولي براي ارتقاي كيفيت علمي و ادبي ترجمه لازم است. گاهي رعايت‌نكردن برخي اصول ضروري، آسيب جدي به بازگرداني اثر وارد مي‌كند و خواننده را از درك درست متن باز مي‌دارد. از اين‌رو بحث و تاكيد اين مقاله آن است كه با آگاهي مترجمان به برخي از اين اصول مي‌توان تاحدودي از گسترش آن‌ها جلوگيري و زمينه ارتقاي محتواي ترجمه‌ها را فراهم كرد. به‌نظر مي‌رسد كه ترجمه پژوهش‌هاي تاريخي، فنون ويژه‌اي را طلب مي‌كندكه در ترجمه متون علوم ديگر چندان ضروري نيست. در اين مقاله بررسي برخي از آسيب‌هاي متداول در فن بازگرداني پژوهش‌هاي ايران‌شناسي و شرق‌شناسي تلاش شده است مهارت‌ها و برخي از اصول لازم معرفي شود.

Enormous number of works of orientalists and Iranologists increased the necessity of translating some of these works. The large number of such publications, in form of translated books and articles in recent decades, confirms the importance of evaluating and reviewing these works. Successive reviews of these translations reveal that some principles must be used in order to promote these translations scientifically and literarily. Sometimes, not observing some essential principles affect the translation in a way that prevents the reader from fully understand and perceive the text. For this reason, the main focus of this article is on the fact that translator’s awareness of some of these principles can prevent such harm, and can pave the way for promoting the content of translations. It seems that translating history researches and books requires specific techniques which are not that much necessary in the translation of other sciences. In this article not only common deficiencies in translating Iranology and orientology researches have been reviewed, but also it has been tried to introduce some of the necessary techniques and principles in this field.
