A Discussion about the Future of Islamic Wisdom

حكمت اسلامي با همه تنوعاتش گونه‌اي از مفهومي‌كردنِ دريافت متفكران اسلامي از عالم و آدم است. اين سنت به‌مثابه يك مشرب فكري در كنار ساير مشارب فكري در برخي از سرزمين‌هاي اسلامي، به‌خصوص ايران، پديد آمده و بسط پيدا كرده است. اين سنت از آغازِ رويارويي كشورهاي اسلامي با عالم جديد، از‌طريق برخي از نمايندگانش با مسايل تفكر جديد درآويخته است. بر‌اساس همين تجارب و افق‌هايي كه براي آينده فرهنگ معاصر قابل تصور است و با نظر به استعدادهاي نهفته در اين سنت، مي‌توان به بحث درباره آينده آن پرداخت. كساني كه به حكمت اسلامي در عالم معاصر اهميت داده و به صورت‌هاي مختلفي به تدريس و تحقيق در آن پرداخته‌اند، سه ‌گونه رويكرد داشته‌اند: 1.رويكرد آلي؛2. رويكرد اصالي؛3. رويكرد طريقي(راه‌جويانه). هركدام از اين سه رويكرد، به‌صورتي در تداوم حيات اين سنت نقش داشته‌اند. حكمت اسلامي در آينده در دو قلمرو مي‌تواند ادامه حيات دهد: 1. در برخي از حوزه‌هاي فرهنگيِ جهان اسلام، مثل ايران؛ و در كنار دروس مرتبط با علوم ديني؛2. در حوزه فعاليت‌هاي دانشگاهي. در اين مقاله به‌طور كوتاه و مقدماتي به امكان‌هاي پيش روي اين سنت در همين دو قلمرو پرداخته مي‌شود.

Islamic wisdom in all of its varieties is the way of conceptualization of Islamic thinkersʹ insights about the human being and the world. This tradition as an intellectual school, along with the other ones, has emerged and developed in some Islamic countries, especially in Iran. From the beginning of encountering of Islamic world with the modern worldview, this tradition has challenged modern approaches and issues by some of its representatives. According to these experiences and the horizons, conceivable about the future of contemporary culture and regarding the potentiality of Islamic wisdom, we would be able to discuss about the future of this tradition. Thinkers, who have noticed Islamic wisdom in contemporary world and have researched about it, have had three approaches considering it: 1.Instrumental approach; 2. Authentic approach; 3. Methodic approach Each of these approaches has had some contributions in development of Islamic wisdom. In the future, Islamic wisdom can go on its vitality in two areas: 1.In some cultural regions in Islamic world, such as Iran, along with associated religious courses; 2.In the realm of academic activities. In this paper, I schematically explore the foremost possibilities of this tradition in the mentioned areas.
