چكيده فارسي :
زن از ديرباز در فرهنگ ها و تمدن هاي گوناگون، موضوع بحث و جدل هاي فراوان فلسفي، سياسي، اجتماعي، فرهنگي و ادبي بوده است. اين موضوع بارها از نظرگاه هاي مختلف به ويژه در حوزه ادبيات كلاسيك و رسمي ايران بررسي شده است. ضرب المثل هاي ايراني نيز كه برگرفته از فرهنگ شفاهي اند و يكي از جلوه هاي مهم فرهنگ عامه محسوب مي شوند، در اين باب، داراي مضامين ضد و نقيض و تامل برانگيز فراواني است كه تا به حال بدان پرداخته نشده است. اين مقاله با بررسي 450 ضرب المثل مربوط به زنان، آن ها را از نظر موضوع به پانزده عنوان تقسيم بندي و سپس تجزيه و تحليل كرده است.

From ancient times woman had been the subject-matter of a large number ofphilosophical, political, social and literary debates and challengesin various cultures and civilizations. There are countlessin this regard from various viewpoints especially in traditional and classicalIranian literature.Iranian proverbs are the valuable heritage of oral folk culture that has a great deal of contradictory themesaboutwomen that has not been reviewedyet. This paper tried to categorize and analyze the proverbs about woman into fifteen subject-matters: 1. Optimistic view toward woman/ woman’s good characteristics 2.Pessimistic view toward woman/ woman’s bad characteristics 3.Misogynyand punishment of women4.Men’s and women’s especial characteristics 5. Man’s superiority over woman6. Optimistic view toward marriage, 7.Pessimistic view toward marriage 8. Quarrel between man and woman, 9. Divorce 10. Having two or more than two wives 11.Widows, 12.Old women 13.Joking with women 14. Verbal plays with word: “woman” 15. Scattered proverbs. This research shows that in the Iranian proverbs, a good woman is the cause of happiness and rest of family, stay–at–home, continent, family keeper, smart, generating, faithful, beautiful and his husband’s protector. Bad woman is ill, cause of oldness of her husband, unconfident, weak, powerless, inappropriate to consultation, unwise, incontinent and etc.. Although some of the proverbs emphasis on some noble characteristics of women particularly due to bound of family, but more than twice of them are misogynic, imperiously, manly and pessimistic and implythat a good woman is the one who is good and faithful to man’s wishes and orders and her family. So rarely she is valuable and remarkable independently.
