ميزان آگاهي مادران در مورد نحوه اداره درد كودكان بستري در بخش اطفال بيمارستان وليعصر (عج)، سال 1390

Mothersʹʹ Knowledge of pediatric pain management in the pediatric ward of Valli-e-asr hospital in 2011

زمينه و هدف: درد، يك مشكل شايع بهداشتي و مهم در زندگي دوران كودكي است و يكي از شايع‌ترين علايمي است كه كودكان در بيمارستان تجربه مي‌كنند. تسكين درد، از بروز عواقب ناگوار و عوارض جدّي پيشگيري مي‌كند. مادران، از جمله افراد كليدي هستند كه بيشترين ارتباط را با كودكان دردمند دارند و با بررسي و توجه به درد كودكان، مي‌توانند از بروز مشكلات بعدي پيشگيري كنند؛ لذا اين مطالعه، با هدف تعيين ميزان آگاهي مادران كودكان بستري در مورد نحوه اداره درد كودكان، در بيمارستان وليعصر (عج) شهر بيرجند در سال 1390 انجام شد. روش تحقيق: در اين پژوهش توصيفي- مقطعي، مادران كودكان بستري در بيمارستان وليعصر (عج) شهر بيرجند، به صورت در دسترس انتخاب شدند و پس از جلب همكاري و رضايت آنان، پرسشنامه پژوهشگرساخته به روش مصاحبه تكميل گرديد. اين پرسشنامه، مشتمل بر 10 سوال دموگرافيك و 49 سوال آگاهي در مورد ماهيّت، علايم، عوارض و درمان درد كودكان بود. پس از تكميل پرسشنامه‌ها، داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS (ويرايش 5/11)، در سطح معني‌داري 05/0P < تجزيه و تحليل شد. يافته‌ها: ميانگين نمره سطح آگاهي مادران از نحوه اداره درد كودكان، 3/4±5/19 (از مجموع 49 نمره) بود؛ به طوري كه اكثريت آنها در مورد نحوه اداره درد كودكان، داراي سطح آگاهي پاييني بودند. بين سطح تحصيلات، سن، تعداد فرزندان، سابقه بستري كودك و ميزان آگاهي مادران آنها در مورد نحوه اداره درد كودكان، ارتباط آماري معني‌داري وجود نداشت. نتيجه‌گيري: آگاهي مادران در خصوص نحوه اداره درد كودكان كم مي‌باشد كه البته عوامل زمينه‌اي در آن نقش قابل توجهي نداشتند؛ لذا ضروري است برنامه‌ريزي‌هاي لازم براي ارتقاي آگاهي مادران در زمينه نحوه اداره درد كودكان صورت گيرد.

Background and Aim: Pain is a health problem and major problem of childhood. It is one of the most common symptoms that children experience in hospitals. Pain alleviation prevents from severe complications and side-effects. Mothers are among the key individuals who have the most interactions with pain experiencing children. They can prevent further problems by appropriate assessing and managing of pain in children. The purpose of the present study was to determine mothersʹ knowledge of pediatric pain management in Birjand Valli-e-asr hospitals in 2011. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive and cross-sectional study mothers of hospitalized children in Birjand Valli-e-asr hospital who were available were selected .After ensuring that they were content with and cooperate in the study, a researcher designed questionnaire was filled out through interview. The questionnaire included demographic questions (10 items) and knowledge questions (49 items) of the nature, symptoms, complication, and management of pain. The obtained data was analyzed by SPSS software (V: 11.5) at the significant level P < 0/05. Results: Mean score the mothersʹ knowledge of pediatric pain management was 19.5±4.34 (of the total 49 points); that is, the majority of them had low knowledge of pediatric pain management. No statistically significant relationship was found between education level, age, number of children, history of hospitalization of child/ children, and the mothersʹ level of knowledge of pain management in children. Conclusion: The mothers have low knowledge of their pain management in their childrenʹs without any considerable relationship to some contextual factors. Planning for educational programmes with respect to managing childrenʹs pain is recommended.
