مطالعه مردم‏شناختي مراسم عاشورا در شهر اردبيل احمد محمدپور ، رامين شاهي‏زاده (تاريخ دريافت14/9/89، تاريخ پذيرش30/9/90) چكيده آيين‎هاي سوگواري ماه محرم در شهر اردبيل پديده مذهبي ساده‌اي نيست، بلكه چنان كيفيتي را داراست كه خصايص يك نمود زنده و فعال فرهنگي و اجتماعي را آشكار مي‎سازد. هدف اين مقاله درك و توصيف دقيق مراسم عاشورا در جامعه اردبيل به‌عنوان ميراثي فرهنگي در زمان كنوني و تحليل مردم‏شناختي كاركردهاي اجتماعي اين مراسم در جامعه مورد بررسي است. مقاله حاضر مي‎كوشد با تكيه به روش مردم‎نگاري، توصيفي جامع، عيني و بدون استنتاج ارزشي از سنن و رسوم عزاداري حسيني در اردبيل ارايه دهد و بر مبناي نظريات اميل دوركيم و كليفورد گيرتز كاركردهاي اين مراسم را در حيات اجتماعي و فرهنگي مردم بررسي كند. يافته‎هاي تحقيق در دو دسته كليِ «ترتيب و كيفيت برگزاري مراسم عزاداري» و «علايم و نشانه‎ها در مراسم عزاداري» موضوع‎بندي شده‎اند. نتيجه كلي آن است كه افراد با شركت در مراسم عاشورا، هويت جمعي و تشخص اجتماعي مي‎يابند و فرديت آن‎ها در خدمت «وجدان ‎جمعي» قرار مي‎گيرد. علايم و نمادهاي به‌كاررفته در مراسم عزاداري كه ماخوذ از نظام فرهنگي جامعه مورد بررسي است، تعلق عزاداران به يك جمع مشخص را نشان مي‎دهد. واژگان كليدي: تحليل مردم‏شناختي، مردم‏نگاري، مراسم عاشورا، شهر اردبيل.

Ashoora Ritual in Ardabil Township: An Anthropological Analysis Ahmad Mohammadpur , Ramin Shahizadeh The lamenting ritual of Ashoora in Ardabil should not be thought as a simple religious phenomenon; instead, it represents a highly lived and active socio-cultural occurrence. The aim of this paper is to describe and understand the lamenting ritual of Ashoora in Ardabil as a cultural heritage as it bears socio-cultural functions in the society that was studied. Using ethnographic fieldwork method, we have tried to present a close, precise and thick description of the Ashoora ritual based on Clifford Geertz and Emile Durkheim perspectives. The research findings categorized in two ways: the first is the order and quality of the lamenting ritual; the second deals with the symbols and signs of Ashoora. This paper demonstrates that the lamenting ritual of Ashoora constitutes a collective identity and unity in which individuality serves in favor of collective consciousness. The symbols and signs used by participants in the ritual are drawn from the cultural systems which in turn distinguish their identity and belongings.
