كاربرد وب‌كويست در آموزش علوم پزشكي

Using WebQuest in Medical Education

مقدمه: امروزه شيوه‌هاي نوين آموزش و تربيت نيروي متخصص در حرف پزشكي مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. در اين نوشته، وب‌كويست (WebQuest) به عنوان شيوه‌اي جديد از آموزش مبتني بر پويش (inquiry based learning) براي يافتن پاسخ سوالات با دسترسي منابع عمدتاً اينترنتي، معرفي شده و كاربرد آن در آموزش علوم پزشكي، و به ويژه آموزش پرستاري تشريح مي‌گردد. روش ها: جهت دستيابي به مقالات مرتبط با موضوع وب كويست، از جستجوي الكترونيك در بانك‌هاي اطلاعاتي معروف از جمله PubMed، Google Scholar، Science Direct، Nursing Consult، CINAHL، Web of Knowledge با كليد واژه‌هاي مرتبط باwebquest استفاده گرديد. مقالات مرتبط با وب كويست در علوم پزشكي بسيار محدود بود و در ايران مقاله پژوهشي يافت نشد. نتايج: وب‌كويست، شيوه‌اي نوآورانه، يادگيرنده-محور، و مبتني بر فعاليت‌هايي توام با تلاش و پويش جهت يادگيري است كه از فن‌آوري رايانه براي درگير ساختن و برانگيختن يادگيرندگان به شكل انفرادي يا مشاركتي در جهت جستجو، تحليل و تركيب داده‌ها و با هدف ساختن دانش يا معناي جديد بهره مي‌برد. وب‌كويست‌ها به عنوان يك شيوه آموزشي يادگيرنده-محور، مهارت‌هاي شناختي در سطوح بالا از جمله تجزيه، تركيب، ارزشيابي و قضاوت، تفكر انتقادي، روحيه جستجوگري و حل مساله را تسهيل نموده و ارتقا مي‌بخشند. وب‌كويست‌ها بر اساس ايده‌ي جستجو و تحقيق و نيز نظريه سازنده‌گرايي، يادگيرندگان را در يادگيري مشاركتي و پروژه‌هاي گروهي درگير مي‌سازند. علاوه بر اين، ارتباطي قوي بين وب‌كويست‌ها و تكنيك‌هاي چندرسانه‌اي وجود دارد كه فرصت‌هاي مهمي براي استفاده از منابع اينترنتي در آموزش و ياددهي فراهم مي‌كند. نتيجه‌گيري: در كشور ما مفهوم وب‌كويست، نه تنها در آموزش و پرورش عمومي، بلكه در آموزش‌هاي دانشگاهي و به خصوص در علوم پزشكي مفهومي ناشناخته است. معرفي اين شيوه نوين آموزشي در حوزه علوم پزشكي كه بنيادهاي آن بر رويكردهاي نوين يادگيري-ياددهي استوار است مي‌تواند دريچه‌اي تازه بگشايد و يادگيرندگان را در اين رشته‌ها به يادگيري‌هاي موثرتر، عميق‌تر و پايدارتر تشويق نمايد.

Introduction: Today modern teaching and learning approaches in medical education have received considerable attention. This paper aims to introduce WebQuest as a new method of inquiry-based learning through the use of Internet. Also its application in medical sciences education in general, and especially nursing education is explained. Methods: To find articles related to the WebQuest topic, the popular databases including PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Direct, Nursing Consult, CINAHL, Web of Knowledge were searched using WebQuest related keywords. Very few medical articles were found, and there was no research article published in Iran. Results: WebQuest is a new method of student-centered, inquiry-based learning which uses computer technology to engage and motivate students individually or collaboratively in exploring, analyzing, and synthesizing data to construct a new understanding or meaning. WebQuests, as a student-centered activity, enhance and facilitate higher order cognitive skills, including analysis, synthesis, evaluation and judgment, critical thinking. They also cultivate students’ exploratory and problem solving mentality. Based on constructivist learning theory and inquiry learning, WebQuests involve learners in collaborative learning process and group projects. There is a strong link between WebQuests and multi-media techniques which provide significant opportunity for utilizing internet resources in teaching and learning experiences. Conclusion: It seems the concept of WebQuest is still less known both general and higher education, and particularly in medical education in Iran. Introducing this method in medical education which is based on new approaches of teaching and learning processes can provide a different view and encourage students to learn more effectively, deeply, and indelibly.
