تحليلي بر نظام آموزش عالي گردشگري در ايران مبتني بر مدل SWOT

An Evaluation of Iranian Higher Education in Tourism Based on SWOT Model

در كشورهاي در حال توسعه از جمله در كشور ايران، آموزش گردشگري با چالش‌هايي روبروست. هدف اين پژوهش تعيين توانايي‌ها، ضعف‌ها، تهديدها و چالش‌هاي آموزش گردشگري در نظام دانشگاهي ايران با استفاده از الگوي تجزيه و تحليل سوات است. بدين منظور از فرايند ارزيابي دروني و روش تحقيق پيمايشي استفاده شده است. اطّلاعات مورد نياز از طريق بررسي ميداني و تكميل پرسشنامه از 150 نفر كه طيفي از اعضاي هييت علمي، سرمايه گذاران و فعالان حوزه ي گردشگري و همچنين دانشجويان هستند، جمع‌آوري شده است. نتايج مطالعه نشان مي‌دهد كه ابعاد آموزشي هم در تحليل ماتريس نقاط قوّت و هم در تحليل ماتريس نقاط ضعف، در اولويت اقدامات و تهديدات قرار دارد. راهبرد پيشنهادي بر ارتباط هر چه بيشتر بين سيستم آموزشي دانشگاه با حوزه هاي مديريتي و دست‌اندركاران صنعت گردشگري تاكيد دارد.

Tourism education in developing countries including Iran is faced with challenges. The purpose of this research is determining the strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities of tourism education in Iranian university system using SWOT analysis system. To this end, internal evaluation process and survey research methods were used. The required data were collected through field survey and a questionnaire completed by 150 respondents including tourism investors, activists, faculty members, and students of tourism. The analysis of strengths and weaknesses matrix shows that educational dimensions had top priorities in actions and threats. The study proposes a strategy based on as much communication as possible between university educational system on the one hand, and managers and other people involved in the tourism industry on the other. The final section of this paper makes some recommendations for the development of tourism education in Iran.
